Our Impact
For 11 years, we have supported, trained and encouraged households that have children and adults living with SCD
Contrary to popular opinion, people living with SCD can live fulfilled, happy lives if the right education is provided about their condition and they apply the knowledge gained in their daily lives.
What we do
SHL organizes sensitization and enlightenment campaigns for people living with SCD and those who live with them to help them better understand the condition and how to manage its effects.
We Find & Fund
We find families that need assistance managing their loved ones who are living with SCD and source funds to help them through the tough stages.
We Provide Care
We visit families of SCD patients and consult with them on the health and wellbeing of their loved ones
We Educate
Through our sensitization and enlightenment programmes, we educate SCD patients and their families and friends/colleagues about SCD and how to manage it.
We Find Placement
We know it can be difficult for people living with SCD to find appropriate and satisfactory job placements, so we provide some help in this regard.
